VILLANOVA, Pa. – Gianna Zajac and Bailey Bryan were tabbed athletes to watch on the Annual For Stars Network Spring 2025 Watchlist, as announced by the group on Wednesday.
 
The Wildcat duo are two of 163 Division I athletes honored on the list, two of 16 from the CAA, that represents 93 teams. According to FSN, athletes selected to the watchlist are "on the rise" in their respective programs and have demonstrated and qualified their placement on this watchlist through their race results, erg times, improvement within their team, positive trajectory in talent and skill since last season and this past Fall semester, research of the program and athlete over a one year period, and coach recommendations on their respective teams in Division I Women's Rowing.
 
Zajac is in her senior season here on the Main Line. The coxswain from West Chester, Pa. has been a two-time CRCA Scholar Athlete and has moved up to the V8 over the last two seasons after starting with the 3V8 and V4 in her first two season. Bryan is a freshman who has made an immediate impact in her first year with the 'Cats. The pair took to the water in both of the team's fall events. Zajac paced a Championship Fours boat to a fourth-place time of 14:05.249 at the Head of the Schuylkill. She later joined Bryan in the Championship Eights for a fourth-place 13:02.174. Bryan's other showing at the HOSR was a 13^th-place finish in the Championship Fours, crossing in 14:39.943. At the Bucknell Invite, the pair raced with the V8 to grab wins over Lehigh in 3:01.27, 3:17.02 and 3:23.02 in 3 x 1K pieces.
 
Villanova's spring season is fast approaching, starting with a pair of road scrimmages against Jacksonville and  Lehigh in March.
