EDISON, N.J. – Gracin Kerry captured her third MAAC Defensive Player of the Week award for her performance in a 16-13 win over Siena on February 15, the conference announced Wednesday. This nod is a Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as she shares it with Lily Morris, the goalie for Iona University.
Kerry saved seven goals in the win, including a 5M save, as the Wildcats were able to fend off the Saints in a preview of MAAC conference play.
The junior broke the record of most MAAC Defensive Player of the Week wins in program history with her third career nod this week.
She currently averages 9.92 saves per game over her first 12 games of the season, saving 119 shots. Kerry is 11 saves under her career high of 130 saves in a season with 19 regular season games remaining.
