'Cats Hit The Road For A Midweek Game

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Villanova women's lacrosse travels to Georgtown for a midweek game.

The last time the Wildcats and Hoyas faced off was in the 2024 season, when the Hoyas came out on top 8-6. Ashlyn Hickey led Villanova with two goals with Emma Verhoest racking in five draw controls.

The 'Cats were able to grab their first and only win over Georgetown in 2023, taking them down 13-12.

This season the Hoyas are 5-5 and 0-1 in BIG EAST play. Their most recent game was against BIG EAST rivals Denver, who won 16-13.

For Georgetown, Gracie Driggs leads her team with 31 goals this season and 60 draw controls, while goalie Leah Warehime has 75 saves for the 2025 season.



The opening draw is set for 4 p.m.
