ANNAPOLIS, Md.- Villanova is back in action this weekend as the Wildcats travel to Annapolis for the Navy Blue & Gold Invitational, a three-day event hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy. The tournament will run from Friday, September 26^th, through Sunday, September 28th and feature a deep and talented field, including Buffalo, George Washington, Howard, Johns Hopkins, Seton Hall, UNC Wilmington, and the host Navy Midshipmen.

The event will provide players with valuable match experience in both singles and doubles, as teams square off in a series of competitive draws across the weekend. The field will feature both conference rivals and nonconference opponents and give the Wildcats plenty of opportunities to keep improving throughout the fall season.

For Villanova, they are coming off of hosting the Villanova and Delaware Invite last week. After three days of action, the 'Cats played well in both the singles and doubles play. This will be the fourth straight year Villanova has played in the Navy Blue and Gold Invitational and will look to use this weekend to build momentum as they get ready for the spring campaign in January.
