VILLANOVA, Pa. — The Villanova water polo team announced changes to its schedule Thursday afternoon due to potential inclement winter weather. 

Originally set to open the season at the Bruno Invite Saturday with two games against Chapman and hosts, Brown in Providence, R.I., the 'Cats will now open the season Friday at home in the Villanova Swim Complex versus Salem at 2 p.m. 

Villanova was originally scheduled to play Salem Sunday. 

Following Friday's contest, the 'Cats will play two games Saturday in Providence with opponents and times to be determined.
