'Cats Travel To Delaware To Face Blue Hens

Women's Tennis Stays On The Road To Face Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – The Villanova women's tennis team will continue their spring campaign as they battle Delaware on the road on Friday, January 30, at 1:00 p.m.

Villanova comes into the match after splitting their doubleheader last week. The 'Cats began the weekend with a quick defeat of Sacred Heart. Villanova swept the doubles point and carried that momentum into singles play by not dropping a single game and cruising to a 4-0 victory. The 'Cats then fell to Army later in the day. Dropping their match to the Black Knights by a score of 4-0. Villanova is 1-3 to begin the season.

Delaware has played half the number of games Villanova has and currently have a 1-1 record. The Blue Hens began the year by defeating the Bellarmine by a score of 4-1, before dropping their second match Liberty, 0-7, in Lynchburg. Delaware has defeated Villanova in the last two meetings between the two. The 'Cats are 10-14 on the road when playing against the Blue Hens at the Delcastle Tennis Center.
