LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Villanova University women's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over the Bucknell Bison on Saturday afternoon in Lewisburg, Pa.

Villanova opened the match strong, sweeping doubles play to secure the opening point. The pairing of Maggie Gehrig and Emi Callahan earned a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Jenna Stevens and Lauren Monti followed with a 6-2 win at the No. 2 position to clinch the doubles point.

In singles competition, Villanova picked up three key victories to secure the match. Miriam Gondorova recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles, while Lauren Monti added another point with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 victory at the No. 5 position. Maggie Gehrig delivered the decisive result of the afternoon, battling back for a 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles to clinch the 4-3 team victory.
