VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—Junior triple jumper Gina Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa.) tallied her second-best mark of the season with a distance of 11.78 meters on Saturday afternoon. She was the Wildcats only women's athlete in action on the second and final day of the Indoor Pre-Nationals at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
 
Smith, who moved into the top 10 in school history in the triple jump with a PR in her last outing, recorded a jump of 11.78 meters on her second of three attempts on Saturday. She came in sixth out of 23 competitors.
