BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Villanova University baseball team returns to the Sunshine State for a three-game set against Florida Atlantic University at FAU Baseball Stadium. First pitch is set for Friday, February 27, as the Wildcats look to build momentum early in the season.

WEEKLY BIG EAST HONOR ROLL
- Senior Collin Quintano earned his second BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll nod of the season.
- Quintano continued his torrid start, driving in five runs and homering in the series at Lipscomb.
LAST TIME OUT
Villanova split its second series of the year on the road at Lipscomb University.
- The Wildcats opened the weekend with an 11-5 extra-innings victory, rallying late before erupting for six runs in the 10th inning.
- Trailing in the seventh, senior Michael Whooley launched a two-run homer to tie the game at three. In the 10th, Quintano delivered his third home run of the season, driving in three to seal the win.
- Lipscomb answered with a 9-8 comeback victory in game two.
- The series finale was canceled due to inclement weather.
BATS STAY HOT
The Wildcats' offense carried over its momentum from opening weekend.
- Whooley and Quintano both homered in Nashville, with Quintano going deep in three straight games.
- Brayden Leonard and Austin Lemon also produced at the plate. Lemon tallied an extra-base hit and three RBIs, while Leonard recorded two extra-base hits and five RBIs.
- Quintano leads the team with eight RBIs, followed by Whooley and Leonard with five apiece.
- Villanova plated 18 runs across the two games at Lipscomb.
RETURNING TO FLORIDA
- All 11 previous matchups between Villanova and FAU have been played in Florida.
- The Wildcats are 2-9 all-time against the Owls.
- This marks Villanova's second trip to Florida this season after opening the year at Florida International University, where VU took one of three games.
SHARP IN THE FIELD
After committing five errors in the opening series at FIU, Villanova tightened up defensively in Nashville.

FAU enters the season after a 37-20 campaign in 2025, including a 15-12 mark in American Athletic Conference play.

HOME OPENER UPDATE
Due to inclement weather, Villanova's home opener against Towson University has been rescheduled for May 6 at 3:05 p.m.
The Wildcats will now open their home slate against La Salle University on March 10, with first pitch set for 3:30 p.m.
