SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Villanova women's tennis team returns to action this weekend with a pair of road matches against Seton Hall and Lehigh. The Wildcats will face Seton Hall on Saturday, February 7, before traveling to take on Lehigh on February 8.

Villanova enters the weekend following a 6–1 loss to Delaware in its last outing. The Blue Hens claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and two by scores of 7–6 and 6–3. Junior Miriam Gondorova provided the Wildcats' lone point, earning a 6–4, 6–4 victory at No. 3 singles.

Seton Hall comes into the matchup after a 5–2 win over Loyola (Md.), capturing the doubles point and winning four of six singles matches. The victory moved the Pirates to 2–2 on the season, with earlier losses coming against Marist and NJIT. Villanova defeated Seton Hall 7–0 last season.

Saturday's contest will mark the first BIG EAST match of the season for both teams.

Lehigh has begun the season with a 2-1 record. Winning their first two matches to begin the season versus Monmouth and Rider before falling to Drexel in their last match 5-2. VU has a overall record of 7-7 against the Mountain Hawks. With the last match going to the 'Cats by a score of 5-2 last season.
