Villanova is coming off a thrilling 9–8 win over Hofstra on Wednesday afternoon.

• The Wildcats rallied past the Pride in a back-and-forth contest, holding off a late comeback attempt.
• After falling behind early, Villanova responded with a four-run second inning. Senior Collin Quintano sparked the surge with a solo home run, while sophomore JoJo Montgomery added a two-run blast.
• Villanova built a 6–1 lead before Hofstra chipped away, scoring three runs in the fifth to tighten the game.
• The Pride tied the contest in the sixth and took an 8–7 lead in the seventh on a solo home run.
