Box Score VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Villanova women's tennis team earned its 10th victory of the season in dominant fashion, defeating Rider, 6-1, on Thursday, March 26, at the Villanova Tennis Complex.

The Wildcats controlled the match from the start, sweeping all three doubles contests to secure the opening point. Emi Callahan and Maggie Gehrig led the way with a 6-2 win at No. 1, while Lauren Monti and Jenna Stevens matched that score at No. 2. Olivia Corcoran and Miriam Gondorova completed the sweep with a 6-1 victory at the No. 3 position.

Villanova carried that momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches to seal the team victory. Olivia Corcoran and Maggie Gehrig each earned straight-set wins at the top two spots, both by 6-2, 6-2 scores.

Miriam Gondorova added a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 3, while Alina Kornyeva secured a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4. Lauren Monti delivered the most dominant performance of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at the No. 5 position.

Rider picked up its lone point at No. 6 singles in a three-set match, but the Wildcats' depth and consistency proved too much throughout the lineup.
With the win, Villanova improves to 10-6 on the season.
