CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—Villanova thrower Hallie Kees (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) extended her personal best in the javelin for the third time in four outings this season at the Virginia Challenge on Thursday evening. Kees threw 41.38 meters at Lannigan Field to further solidify her position in third place on this year's BIG EAST performance list and eighth place in school history.
 
It has been quite a start to Kees' collegiate career this season as she has steadily increased the distance of her throws. Her latest PB came on her last of three attempts on Thursday when she added 45 centimeters to her previous mark of 40.93 meters which had been recorded just five days earlier. Kees finished second in her flight on Thursday night.
 
Friday will be a full day and evening of competition for the Wildcats at the Virginia Challenge. The first event of the day for Villanova is women's hammer at 9:30 a.m. and the final event is the invite section of the women's 5000 meters at 9:20 p.m.
