CHESTER, Pa.—Junior middle distance runner Therese Trainer (Havertown, Pa.) recorded a personal best in the 1500 meters at the Paul Donahue Invitational on Saturday afternoon. She lowered her top mark in the event for the second time this season and posted a time of 4:37.20 to finish in second place in the race.
 
Villanova's depth in the middle distance events overall and the 1500 meters specifically has been on full display this outdoor season. Trainer is one of 10 runners on the team who has posted a time below 4:40 this season, and one of eight Wildcats who posted a season or personal best this weekend.
