VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Villanova University announced today that Brad Adams will conclude his tenure as head men's tennis coach following 19 seasons leading the Wildcats program.
Since joining the coaching staff in 2006 and later becoming head coach, Adams built a reputation for player development, academic success and sustained competitiveness within the BIG EAST Conference. Throughout his tenure, Adams developed meaningful and lasting relationships with generations of Villanova student-athletes and alumni, reflecting his deep commitment to mentorship and student development.
Under Adams' leadership, Villanova student-athletes earned five All-BIG EAST honors and collected 13 weekly conference accolades, including five BIG EAST Player of the Week awards. His teams also excelled academically, with the Wildcats earning ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition 37 times, while the program was named an ITA All-Academic Team in each of the last four seasons.
Adams guided Villanova to 17 BIG EAST Tournament appearances during his tenure and helped elevate the program's profile both on the court and in the classroom.
As a student-athlete at Villanova, Adams served as senior co-captain and compiled 48 career victories while competing at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions.

"To have had the opportunity to lead this program for nearly two decades and work alongside so many outstanding student-athletes, coaches and members of the Villanova community has been an incredible honor. I am extremely proud of what our players accomplished on the court, in the classroom and as representatives of the University. Villanova Tennis will always hold a special place in my heart, and I remain deeply appreciative of the relationships and experiences that made these years so meaningful."

A national search for Villanova's next head men's tennis coach will begin immediately.
