Men's Tennis Wins the Final Match of Fall Season

Radnor, Pa.....The Villanova Men's Tennis team are victorious against New York University this past Sunday, October 11, 1998 at the Radnor High School tennis courts. The final score of the day was Villanova 6, NYU 1.

Junior Robert Waibel (Hollidaysburg, PA) started the Wildcats off on their victorious day by winning at the No.1 singles post. Waibel is currently 2-2 on the season. Co-captain Stephen Smith fell to the hands of NYU's Scott Levin at the No. 2 singles post. Smith is 3-1 on the season. Sophomore Paul Moore won at the No. 3 singles mark, with Michael Mock, Ramon Prats and Josh Schofield also collecting victories to finish out singles play. Waibel and Moore are currently undefeated at the No. 1 doubles mark with an overall record of 4-0.

The Wildcats will be back in action in the spring season beginning with the College of NJ Tournament in Trenton, NJ from February 12-14, 1999.
