HOUSTON, TEXAS - The Villanova offense scored a run in the first inning against Mississippi State, but was then held scoreless the rest of the day in dropping decisions to the Bulldogs and tournament host Cougars, 3-1 and 8-0, respectively.

Shannon Williams took the loss in the circle against Mississippi State, with Kristen Haynes being defeated in the nightcap.

Kari Koller had the 'Cats' lone RBI on day two of the Hyatt Regency Cougar Classic, while Lisa Krueger's double represented 'Nova's only extra base hit.

Villanova is back in action for the final day of competition on Sunday, Feb. 29 against Pittsburgh and Virginia.
