Lewisburg, Pa.-Jaclyn Williamson won the Flight B singles title when she defeated Bucknell's Paulina Gamboa 4-6, 7-6 (11), 10-6 as the Wildcats competed at the Bucknell Invitational over the weekend.

Williamson also found success on the doubles side, teaming up with Candice Carlin to go 2-1 for the weekend. Carlin and Williamson defeated Iosac/Edmonds from Mount St. Mary's 8-1 and Brown and Gamboa from Bucknell 8-6 before losing to Hughes and Poole 4-8.

Several other 'Cats produced 2-1 records on the singles side this weekend. Carlin defeated Jen Iosac (MSM) 6-1, 6-0 and Chelsea Mills (Bucknell) 6-3, 6-1 handily before losing to Pitt's Kristy Borza 1-6, 2-6 in Flight A.

Freshman Dani Phillis handed a 7-6 (8), 6-0 loss to Alex Albano (Duquesne) and a 6-4, 6-4 loss to Ashley Wentzel (MSM) before Pitt's Carley Smith ended her run in the invitational with a 7-6 (5), 5-7, (5-10) decision. Also in Flight C, Lindsay Puchyr sandwiched a 6-1, 6-0 win over Christine Pace (MSM) and an 8-1 win against Mallory Tarca (Loyola) around a tie break loss to Alicia Paterson (Loyola).

The sisters Reed combined to finish 2-1 in doubles in Flight B for the weekend. Ashley and Melissa defeated Clay and Tarca (Loyola) and Gaskin/Grossman 8-1 before losing 2-8 to Harclerode and Smith (Pitt).
