Lehigh Blanks Wildcats 7-0

Bethlehem, Pa. - Lehigh University (9-3) won all six singles matches and took the doubles point by shutting out Villanova (6-6) in all three doubles matches to sweep the Wildcats 7-0 yesterday afternoon.

Villanova's John Borden (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Anuj Malhotra (Staten Island, N.Y.) each won the first set of their matches. Borden took the set 6-3 over Alfredo Frenandez-Concha before falling 1-6, 0-6 in the last two sets. Malhotra defeated Drew Balshi 7-6 in a tiebreak in the first set but Balshi rallied and won the final set 2-6 and the tiebreak 1-0. The Mountainhawks got straight sets wins at nos. 1, 2, 4, and 5.

Villanova plays Duquesne at home on Apr. 1 at noon before returning to BIG EAST play on Apr. 2, hosting DePaul at 9:00 a.m.
