VILLANOVA, Pa. - Freshman Morgan Petkovich was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the week of Sept. 1 as announced yesterday by the conference office.
Petkovich had a strong first week as a Wildcat and posted a team-high 12 kills with just one error to hit .733 in Villanova's 3-0 sweep over Rider in the La Salle Invitational.
For the weekend Petkovich tallied 30 kills to average 3.00 per set and posted a .308 attack percentage. She was named to the La Salle Invitational All-Tournament team for her efforts along with junior Amy Gulyas.
The Wildcats are back on the court Friday, Sept. 5 as they face George Washington in the Penn State Tournament in State College, Pa. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
