Leading 12-8 in the first set, the Wildcats turned up the intensity to finish on a 13-3 run to capture the stanza.

Villanova would go on to win the second set, 25-20, without ever being in jeopardy of dropping the game. The last set, the Wildcats would impose their will with a 25-16 finish.
