Dec. 15, 2014 VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova sophomore Josh Hart is this week's Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week and is also a part of the BIG EAST Honor Roll for his work in a pair of Wildcats victories last week.
Hart recorded a career high 20 points while connecting on 6-of-7 field goal attempts in an 85-62 victory over Temple on Sunday at the Pavilion. In addition, Hart added seven rebounds and three assists in the Big Five triumph.
Earlier in the week, Hart (Silver Spring, Md.) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds to a 73-59 victory over Illinois in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.
For the week, Hart, 6-5, was 10-of-15 from the field (.667) and averaged 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
Villanova improved to 10-0 with its win Sunday. It is listed at No. 7 in this week's Associated Press Top 25. It is the second straight week the Wildcats have been ranked No. 7. They also held steady in this week's USA Today Coaches poll, where they are also in the seventh slot.
