Hey Nova Nation!

My name is Nikki Alden, and I'm a junior majoring in Comprehensive Science! I recently just came back from a long winter break back home! I finally had a chance to recover from finals and prepare for the season which is only about two weeks away (but I mean, who's counting?).

The weather in the Philadelphia area was ridiculous! One day, I would be bundled up in a heavy coat, and the following day I would be out walking my dog, Cooper, around town in a t-shirt! I spent the majority of my break reviewing for my Dental Admission Test and hanging out with my twin brother, Matt. After a long break, I came back to Villanova and started my new semester of classes! This semester, I am taking Calculus III, Organic Chemistry, and Physics. I think I may have walked into my hardest semester yet, but thankfully I have the softball season to enjoy it with.

The team dove right into practice to prepare for our tournaments down south, and we have been working our tails off ever since! I hope everyone is ready to come out and support your favorite Wildcats soon! We head out to Florida in just two short weeks! We're looking to face some heavy competition down in Florida, and we hope to see some familiar faces out there!

On Super Bowl Sunday, the team gathered together to watch the game! I didn't have an affiliation with either team, but I decided to root for the Falcons. It was definitely a great game led by two incredible quarterbacks!

Anyways, I hope everyone is looking forward to a great softball season this year! The Villanova Softball team plans to take our hard work in the off-season and carry it with us down to Florida to begin the season! Go Cats!!
