VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Basketball season is officially underway.

The Wildcats Men's and Women's Basketball teams took their annual kickoff party outdoors for the first time on Saturday, to Villanova Stadium. With the Finneran Pavilion currently being renovated, its neighbor next door filled in as host. The usual festive crowd of Nova Nation students filled a good portion of the western end of the football field in front of the stage.

The Wildcats men's and women's teams were introduced and each performed its on dance number on stage. The men's team unveiled its 2017 BIG EAST regular season and tournament championship banners.

Recording artist French Montana capped the event with a performance.
