New York, N.Y. – After taking home the medalist honors in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate, Connor Daly has been named BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week.

After the first round, Daly sat in sixth place, before jumping up to the top spot after round two. He finished shooting a 71 (+1) both days and finished at 142 (+2).

He helped carry the Wildcats to a second-place finish, out of the 15 teams in the tournament.

Head Coach James Wilkes stated, "We're obviously very happy for Connor, an individual win is very hard to earn, and it being recognized by the conference is an honor. His one-shot win was even more special because it contributed to a one-shot margin for the team as runner-up. Having both team and individual recognition on one trip is best-case for any coach."

Villanova will wrap up their fall season this Saturday as they compete in the CITY 6 Championship in Galloway Township, N.J.
