PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Junior long jumper
Trinity Hart (Scotch Plains, N.J.) moved up four spots on the all-time Villanova performance list with a personal best jump of 5.69 meters and several other Wildcats recorded personal best marks during competition in the Penn Twilight at Franklin Field on Saturday afternoon. Hart surged to fourth place in school history in the long jump with her second PR of the outdoor season. There were seven running events and four field events on the docket for Villanova in Saturday's meet.
Hart recorded her jump of 5.69 meters on her second attempt of the day and increased her PR in the long jump by six centimeters. She had a mark of 5.63 meters from the Penn Challenge earlier this season which put her into eighth place in the Wildcats record book. Hart is now in sole possession of fourth place on the program's performance list, with her result on Saturday the best jump by a Villanova athlete since Ekiah Lewis recorded a personal best of 5.72 meters on April 1, 2016 at the Colonial Relays. Liv Morgan (Bronx, NY.) is tied for seventh in the conference pending the outcome of other meets this weekend.
Morgan also recorded a personal best in the long jump in Saturday's meet. She measured a mark of 5.55 meters to beat her previous PR from high school by one centimeter. Sophomore
Faith Robinson (St. Louis Park, Minn.) recorded a mark of 5.32 meters in the long jump on Saturday, followed by junior
Jennifer Barbour (Middletown, Conn.) with a distance of 5.14 meters and freshman
Caroline Carlson (Miami, Fla.) who jumped 4.97 meters.
There were eight Wildcats among the 10 competitors in the 100 meters, with junior
Jada Thomas (Kingston, Jamaica) leading the group with a second place overall finish and a time of 12.17. The contingent of Villanova entries in the 100 meters featured several of the team's hurdlers as well as the long jump and multi-event group. Senior
Trudy-Ann Williamson (Kingston, Jamaica) posted a time of 12.19 and senior
Danielle Burns (Phoenix, Ariz.) was across the finish line in 12.30. They were followed by Hart (12.36), redshirt freshman
Jane Livingston (Lancaster, Pa.) with a personal best time of 12.37, Robinson (12.67), Barbour (12.75) and senior
Sarah Jones (Sewell, N.J.) who recorded a time of 13.25.
Livingston came in first in the 100 meter hurdles in 14.10 and was followed by Thomas (14.47), Morgan (14.92), Jones (14.95) and Carlson (16.06). Morgan and Carlson were each preparing for competition in the heptathlon at the BIG EAST Championships later this month. They posted times of 2:39.40 and 2:42.47, respectively, in the 800 meters at Penn on Saturday. Rounding out the sprints were times of 24.78 for Burns and 25.05 for Williamson in the 200 meters, as well as a time of 1:00.33 in the 400 meters for sophomore
Alexis Martin (Baltimore, Md.) who was making her collegiate outdoor debut.

Amari Onque-Shabazz (Plainfield, N.J.) each registered personal best times in the 800 meters for the second time this season. Martinez lowered her top mark by nearly a full second to 2:05.72 with a first place finish and Onque-Shabazz came in second with a time of 2:07.90. Sophomore

Kate Flynn (Gray, Tenn.) placed fourth (2:33.19).
The other track events on the meet schedule were the 1500 meters and the 10000 meters. Sophomore
Anna Helwigh (Soborg, Denmark) was the runner-up in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:21.02 and redshirt freshman
Maggie Smith (Halifax, N.S.) came in third (4:26.15). Freshman
Elizabeth Vaughn (Dayton, Ohio) debuted in the 10000 meters and posted a time of 36:27.42.
One of the highlights of the day for Villanova came in the shot put where graduate student
Jul Thomson (Otterville, Ont.) increased her personal best mark by 0.86 meters. She threw for 14.23 meters in the shot put to easily best her previous mark of 13.37 meters which was set only two weeks ago at the Virginia Challenge. Thomson is now ranked fourth on the Wildcats all-time performance list in the shot put and owns the seventh-longest outdoor mark in school history. She is one of four throwers in Villanova history to throw for at least 14 meters in the shot put. Her teammate and fellow graduate transfer
Grayce French is the Villanova record holder in the shot put with a mark of 14.85 meters.
Thomson also threw for 45.83 meters in the discus and 46.15 meters in the hammer. Junior thrower
Emily Galvin (Pitman, N.J.) came in second in the hammer with a throw of 51.16 meters.
