Villanova, Pa.- The Villanova Wildcats will host the Drexel Dragons on Saturday at 5:00 P.M. inside Villanova Stadium. This will be the 41
st meeting all-time between the two local schools with Villanova winning 23 of the previous meetings.
A Look at Villanova: The Wildcats fell to the Penn Quakers last weekend on a last second goal to move to 3-3 on the season. Villanova has defeated Penn State, Fairfield, and Hofstra this season. A Look at Drexel: The Dragons have won their last four games coming into Saturday with their most recent being a double overtime victory against Marquette. To start the streak Drexel defeated Albany, followed by LIU, and then Saint Joseph's. Offensively, they have been led the season by Jack Mulcahy who has a team high 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists. Attackman Max Semple had a season high six points during Drexel win against the Golden Eagles and score the final two goals in regulation to force overtime and then the game winner.
In goal Drew McGill has picked up the last two decisions for the Dragons and has a 12.34 goals against average and .472 save percentage. Ross Blumenthal started in the first four games for Drexel and is 2-2 on the season. The senior keeper has a 11.33 goals against average and a .580 save percentage.
