VILLANOVA, Pa.—In a matchup of local rivals Villanova (3-8) scored wins in each of the top two spots of the lineup as well as at No. 1 doubles before ultimately falling by a 4-2 final score to Temple (11-4) at the West Campus Tennis Complex on Saturday morning. Senior
Annalise Klopfer (Palm Harbor, Fla.) won both her singles and doubles matches on the day while extending her winning streak in singles competition to six consecutive decisions.

Emma Brogan (Kennesaw, Ga.) have become a steady force at the top of the Wildcats lineup in recent weeks. They improved to 4-2 in the No. 1 doubles position on Saturday with a 6-2 win over Vineetha Mummadi and Jamie Wei. Klopfer and Brogan then went on to each win their singles matches against the same two Owls athletes. Klopfer was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Wei in the No. 1 lineup spot and Brogan eased past Mummadi at No. 2 singles for a 6-4, 6-2 decision.
With two regular season matches remaining before the BIG EAST Championships later this month, Klopfer is now 9-1 on the year at No. 1 singles and has won six straight matches. Saturday marked the second straight match that Klopfer and Brogan were victorious in the first two singles matches. Brogan is coming on strong late in her freshman year. She is now 4-7 in dual matches on the year but has won three of her past four competitions in the No. 2 singles spot.
Temple captured the doubles point to begin Saturday's match with identical 6-3 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Sena Takebe and Evie Wei defeated freshman

Caitlin Fisher (Cincinnati, Ohio) fell to Yining Tian and Veronika Kulhava at No. 3 doubles.
The visiting Owls secured the win with three singles wins in the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 lineup spots. Fisher played a close match against Kulhava at No. 3 singles and was narrowly defeated in a 7-5, 6-2 result. Kornieva lost to Tian at No. 4 singles by set scores of 6-2 and 6-3, while junior
