WILMINGTON, Del.- The Wildcats fell on the road to Delaware in another hard 6-1 loss starting their season off with a 0-2 record.
A tough start to the match in doubles as all three teams fell to Blue Hens. The pair of sophomores
Trey Fourticq and
Ryan Nguyen took on James Wilkinson and William Wibmer falling in a 6-2 loss.

The strong team of freshmen
Tighe Brunetti and
Cooper Gordon gave Delaware's Euan Mackenzie and Tobey Lock a challenge with a close match resulting in a 7-5 defeat.

The junior duo of captain
Josh Robinson and
Noah Winton took on Daniel Krulig and Alexandre Gluck forcing the match into a tie breaker but falling after a 7-6 (7-5) battle.

Delaware claimed the first team point of the match.

Starting off at number one singles was Robinson to take on previous competitor Wilkinson. Wilkinson was dominate in the first set, but Robinson made a solid showing in the second set. Ultimately Wilkinson took the 6-1, 6-4 win over the Wildcat.

The only win of the day came from Brunetti who took on Gluck. Brunetti made quick work of Gluck taking a solid 6-4, 6-2 win.

Gordon battled against Delaware's Luis Molina giving Molina a challenge in their match up ultimately losing in 6-3, 6-2.

Fourticq gave the Krulig and faced a similar result as teammate Robinson with a swift 6-2, 6-1 defeat.

Senior
Justin Suarez was bested by the Blue Hen's Bernardo Teixerira in 6-3, 6-2 defeat in number five singles.Â

Nguyen who went up against Rajesh Bhakar in the six spot also met his match in a tough 6-1, 6-4 loss.

The Blue Hen's claimed the match with the 6-1 win over Villanova.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday February 4 to take on Bucknell away at 2 pm.
