CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa—Villanova took down Penn on Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-2.

Meghan Mitchell, and
Sabine de Ruijter supplied the goals for the 'Cats on senior day.
"I was really proud of everyone," said Mitchell, who scored her team leading 14
th goal of the season. "To be able to get a win and be out there with my best friends on senior day means a lot."
Villanova controlled the game taking a 3-0 lead with nine minutes remaining. A late push from the Quakers made the final score 3-2. De Ruijter opened the scoring by converting on a penalty corner for her fifth goal of the season. Fellow Netherlands native
Anne Drabbe netted her second goal of the season to make the score 2-0 in the third quarter before Mitchell iced the game in the fourth.

Corey Mayer was happy to pick up a win as the team looks ahead to a home BIG EAST matchup next week.
"This win feels great it's awesome that the team can rally and give all of their efforts for the seniors," said Mayer. "We are definitely going to learn the lessons from Friday and today to come out as strong as possible against ODU."
Emma Leppert recorded seven saves for the Wildcats.

Gemma Lysaght each recorded one assist in the win.
The Quakers were led by freshman Honor Roberts who netted both goals, goalkeeper Frederique Wollaert was credited with nine saves in the loss.
The Wildcats are back home in Conshohocken on Friday, October 13
th when they take on Old Dominion with second place in the BIG EAST on the line. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
