VILLANOVA, Pa. – Villanova volleyball picked up another honor on Tuesday morning as senior middle blocker Kiera Booth was named an East Coast All-Region Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Booth received the accolade after a dominant season for the 'Cats, earning her second straight all-conference nod with an all-tournament and weekly honor roll laurels as well. She became the sixth Wildcat to earn two All-BIG EAST nods in as many years and just the 11th Wildcat to pick up multiple all-league honors in a career.
In her fourth season on the Main Line, the middle blocker finished second on the team in kills (312) while leading the squad in blocks (80). Booth hit .362 against BIG EAST opponents to rank fourth in the league and put forth 2.86 kills per set to lead all middles. The senior led Villanova in scoring six times this season and notched 17 double-digit kill matches, including seven in a row to conclude the year.
Booth ended her senior year as the Villanova all-time leader in hitting percentage at .309 while ranking tie-fifth in block assists (268), eighth in blocks per set (0.78) and tie-ninth in total blocks (295) at the time of her graduation.
The Berlin, Pennsylvania, native becomes the first Villanova AVCA honoree since 2019 when Allie Olsonoski was also named an honorable mention selection.
