BRYN MAWR, Pa.- The Wildcats take a huge win on the road over Rider in a 6-1 team victory.
 
The match began with two Wildcat doubles teams taking down the Broncs. The pair of sophomore Trey Fourticq and freshman Tighe Brunetti swept Rider's team of Roger Martinez and Savros Hadjivarnava The duo of junior captain Josh Robinson and senior Justin Suarez took a 6-4 doubles win clinching the win.
 
Villanova claimed the first team point of the match.
 
Starting off at number one singles was Robinson who made quick work Nathan Slattery in a 6-2, 6-1 win.
 
Freshman Tighe Brunetti stepped up to the number two singles spot to take on Dhruv Tangri and displayed a strong performance with a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

Junior Eitan Khromchenko took down Hadjivarnava in their singles matches resulting in a 7-5, 6-1 score. 

In the four spot, sophomore Ryan Nguyen was bested by Martinez in a very close 7-6 (3), 6-2 loss.
 
Sophomore Trey Fourticq solidified the victory for the Wildcats in the three spot when he battled against Pablo Salar Carrera coming out on top with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
 
Head coach, Brad Adams, commented on the victory.
 
"Total team effort today against a much improved and very tough Rider team.  I was very impressed with the play and composure of our guys, and it shows that the work we have been putting into practice is paying off in match play," said Adams. "Very proud of Eitan who earned his first victory after a year layoff due to injury as well as Trey who obtained his first match clinching win at 4." 
 
The Wildcats return to action on Friday February 24 to take on Coppin State.
