VILLANOVA, Pa.- The Wildcats took on Lafayette for a special senior day match on Sunday afternoon at the west campus courts. Villanova took a 4-0 victory over the Leopards to conclude the 2023 regular season with a 8–14 record.
The match began with the Wildcats taking No. 1 and 2 doubles to claim the first team point of the match.
The Wildcats swept every singles match for the 7-0 victory over the Leopards.
Josh Robinson clinched the match at No. 1 singles over Jake Magnusson with a 6-4, 6-4 victory so No. 4 through 6 singles matches played 8 game pro sets.
Tighe Brunetti defeated Arman Ganchi 6-1, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot.
Eitan Khromchenko faced off with Nick McKenzie and took the 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 single.
Ryan Nguyen bested Josh Wolfe in a 8-4 result in the No. 4 spot. At No. 5 singles
Justin Suarez took a swift 8-2 win over Nash Lovallo. In the No. 6 spot
Will Gatti beat out Sam Gelber for the 8-3 decision.
Villanova concluded the match with a short senior day ceremony to honor the graduating seniors
