MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Wildcats traveled to Milwaukee on Saturday afternoon and battled it out with the Marquette until final team point. After a hard-fought match, Marquette came out with the 4-3 win over Villanova.
 
The match began with Villanova taking No. 1 and 2 doubles to claim the first team point of the match. Josh Robinson and Tighe Brunetti faced off with Stefan Dragovic and his partner Rami Scheetz and won 6-4. In the No. 2 doubles spot Trey Fourticq and Tighe Brunetti was also victorious over Ian Brady and Thomas Nelson. Justin Suarez and Ryan Nguygen took on Pablo Dale and Will Tennison and fell 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.
 
At No. 1 singles Robinson went up against former competitor Dragovic and lost the first set 6-3, won the second set 6-4 and ultimately fell in a close 7-6 in the third set tie breaker. In the No. 2 spot was Brunetti who made quick work of his former opponent Scheetz taking 6-2, 6-2 win. In the No. 3 spot, Nguyen was defeated by Nelson in a 6-4, 6-3 decision. Gordon fell to Blake Roegner 6-1,6-2 at No. 4 singles. Suarez beat out Brady in the No. 5 spot in a 6-1, 7-6 result. Fourticq was bested by Guilherme Da Matta in a 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 6 singles.
 
Marquette took the 4-3 victory over Villanova.
 
The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday April 12 when they finally head home to take on Saint Joseph's. Match time is set for 2:30 pm.
