Wildcats Downed 11-1 to UConn

STORRS, CT– UConn defeated Villanova 11-1 in game two of their weekend series in Storrs, Connecticut.
 
One run in the first inning for UConn was the only score of the game for the first three innings. A fourth inning home run by The Huskies started a string of four straight innings of runs.  By the time Villanova got on the board the lead was already 11-1 in the eighth, giving us our final score.

  • Caleb Shpur scored on a passed ball in the first, 1-0 UConn.
  • In the fourth, Matt Malcom hit a two-run home run to center field, 3-0.
  • Paul Tammaro scored on a throwing error by the catcher, 4-0 in the fifth.
  • In the sixth, Tyler Minick singled to left field, scoring Maddix Dalena, 5-0.
  • Tammaro singled to left field, scoring Minick and Jake Studley in the sixth, 7-0.
