Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 VILLANOVA— Villanova swept the weekend, picking up three victories this weekend. The team defeated Marquette and Coppin State at home on Friday and Saturday then went on the road Sunday to defeat Lafayette.

Villanova 4 Marquette 3
The first matchup on the weekend came on Friday in a BIG EAST home match against Marquette. The game began great for Villanova as they took the doubles point easily after two matches.  As singles began however, the Golden Eagles began to grab control.  Marquette took three out of the first four singles matches making the 3-2 over Villanova.  The match would come down to the five and six spot.  Ryan Nguyen picked up the tying point 6-4, 6-1 as it all came down to Justin Frattarelli. The freshman had to go to a tie breaker in the second set and a third set to pick up the game clinching point for the Wildcats.

Villanova 7 Coppin State 0
The second match of the weekend was not as contested. Villanova was able to win all seven matchups against Coppin State, with only two matches needing a third set.

Villanova 4 Lafayette 0
A similar result occurs on Sunday for the Wildcats, sweeping the matches in a dominating fashion.
