VILLANOVA, PA. -- Villanova University head women's basketball coach
Denise Dillon today announced the team's 2025-26 schedule. The Wildcats will play 20 BIG EAST games and nine non conference contests this season, including three Philadelphia Big 5 games.
The season starts with consecutive home games against Lafayette on Nov. 3 and Fairfield on Nov. 5. Villanova will leave the country on Nov. 9 with a trip to Toronto, Canada, to take on Virginia Commonwealth.
After returning home to face Princeton on Nov. 12, the Wildcats hit the road for a game at James Madison on Nov. 16. Villanova will then play back-to-back Philadelphia Big 5 games with a home date versus Temple on Nov. 22 and a road contest at La Salle on Nov. 25. The final road non conference game is set for Dec. 1 at Big 12 member West Virginia.
On Dec. 7, Villanova will host the Philadelphia Big 5 Women's Classic tripleheader for the second straight year. The three game pairings will be determined by the regular season results.
Villanova will play all 10 BIG EAST conference opponents on a home and home basis for 20 league games. The conference opener is set for Dec. 4 at Georgetown. The conference home opener will be against Seton Hall on Dec. 19.
The Wildcats are coming off a 2024-25 season where they went 21-15 overall and 11-7 in BIG EAST play. The Wildcats earned a bid to the WBIT last year where they advanced to the semifinals.
