HAMILTON, N.Y. — Villanova will kick off the second tournament of the fall at The Goat, hosted by Navy at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club Sept. 19-20.
 
The Event
The Goat is a two-day event consisting of three rounds totaling 54 holes. The first two rounds and 36 holes will be played on Saturday, and the final 18 will be played on Sunday. There will be a shotgon start on both days, with done starting at 8:30 a.m. and day two begining at 8 a.m. The 'Cats are one of 14 teams competing in Annapolis.
 
The Course
The U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club is a private, university golf course owned by the Naval Academy and operated by the Naval Academy Golf Association (NAGA). The 18-hole course is 6,965 yards for a par of 71.
 
Wildcats Lineup
Villanova head coach James Wilkes' second lineup of the season has five of the same six athletes as the first competition, with one newcome swapping in.
 
Freshman Evan Rohde tees off first for the Wildcats. He is coming off a great start to his Villanova career, placing third and shooting four under par at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
 
Vibhav Alokam shoots second after being the second-highest placing finisher at the last tournament.  The junior placed 25th overall at the Alex Lagwitz Memorial, shooting +2.
 
Luke Leonard and Cameron Besaw tee off in the next two positions. Both Wildcats shot a new personal best 54-hole score last tournament, tallying 220 shots and shooting four over par. Leonard will shoot third and Besaw fourth.
 
AJ Colonna makes his collegiate debut in the fifth spot. The Jupiter, Fla. native comes to the Main Line with an impressive resume. He was a Rhode Island state junior amateur champion in 2025, as well as a two-time Palm Beach County Player of the Year nominee and All-County First Team member.
 
Ian Love will be competing as an individual in Annapolis. The junior had a career day at the Alex Lagowitz memorial, shooting a career low 227 (+11).
