Villanova Athletics is proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Villanova is proud to recognize these student leaders.
This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to the Wildcat's Chrissy Dolan, a commerce & finance major and women's soccer standout from New Hope, Pa. and Pennsbury High School. On Monday, Oct. 14, Chrissy was named Big East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, marking the fourth time this season that she has received this honor.
Dolan has her Wildcats ranked 14th in the country with an overall record of 10-1-3 and a 3-1-1 Big East Mid-Atlantic Division record. She recorded two more shutouts this past week, blanking FIU, 2-0, on Friday, Oct. 11, and shutting out Miami, 3-0, on Sunday, Oct. 13. Dolan saved 16 shots in those two games combined, including a game-high 11 at Miami. She has seven shutouts in 14 games thus far in 2002. In addition, she has allowed only seven goals in nearly 1,353 minutes for a 0.47 goals against average. Dolan is currently ranked first in the Big East in goals against average and shutouts, and second in saves.
We congratulate Chrissy on her achievements, and proudly support the Villanova P.A.W.S. program. For additional information regarding P.A.W.S., contact Villanova University at (610) 519-4605.
