Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright:
"It was good to get back on the floor after that St. Joe's game and back into the Big East. We did some good things early, especially on the offensive side. I didn't want to say it after the St. Joseph's game, but I was actually disappointed with our defense. We showed our defensive weakness again tonight. We would just get a lead and trade baskets."

On Virginia Tech:
"I give them a lot of credit. They kept at us, and we knew they would. They are a very physical, very athletic team. They really hung in and kept battling."

On Villanova Senior Brooks Sales:
"He is our team's most valuable player. He's great. I love them all, but Brooks just does everything. He can handle the ball under pressure. He dishes out assists, he rebounds, and he is our leader on the floor. The coaches can communicate to the players through him. He is a great Villanova senior. In my years as a Villanova assistant, the seniors always stepped up and made big plays. He does it all the time. He is a true Villanova senior."

Villanova Guard Reggie Bryant:
"I always have confidence that my shot will fall, it's just a matter of me being focused. I just needed to concentrate, and slow things down. I always knew my shot would eventually come around."
