Princeton Invitational Final Results

PRINCETON, N.J. - In the final round of the Princeton Invitational, Villanova junior Brendan Kelly (Annapolis, Md.) played a final round of 71 to finish in second place overall and at even par at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. Yale's Tom McCarthy was the overall winner of the event, finishing at 3-under-par over three rounds to take home the individual title.

In the team competition, Yale beat Harvard on a tiebreaker, which was the final-round score from each team's No. 5 player.

Villanova finished fifth of fifteen teams with Kelly pacing the Wildcats, and sophomore Brian Colbert (Cary, Ill.), junior Colin List (Boynton Beach, Fla.), freshman Steve Skurla (Wheaton, Ill.) and junior Conor Casey (Madison, N.J.) finished tied for 22nd, 32nd, 53rd and 62nd place, respectively.

The Princeton Invitational marks the fifth event Villanova has finished in the top-10 as a team in tournaments this past year.

Next up for the Wildcats will be the BIG EAST Championship to be held April 17-20th in Palm Harbor, Fla.
