Final Leaderboard from City Six

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova men's golf team closed out its fall schedule at the 18-hole City Six tournament on Saturday afternoon from the Philadelphia Cricket Club's Militia Hill course. The men finished in fifth place behind in the field of Drexel, La Salle, Penn and Saint Joseph's.

Freshman Andy Butler (Oakmont, Pa./Manheim Township) led the way for the `Cats with a round of three-over 75. He finished tied for 13th in the 30-man field.

Sophomore Lucas Trim (Tampa, Fla./Jesuit) followed Butler up at four-over 76, tying for 17th overall.

Butler and Trim both shot one-over par in the final nine holes.

Junior Luke Waggoner (Crystal Lake, Ill./Marian Central Catholic) tied for 20th, shooting 79 while freshmen Zach Egermayer (Glen Rock, N.J./Bergen Catholic) and Will Byrne (McLean, Va./Langley) both carded rounds of 80.

Senior Ted Brennan (Newtown Square, Pa./The Haverford School) shot 82 in the event.

Penn won the event at 290 and Drexel's Chris Crawford was the individual medalist with a round of three-under 69.

Drexel finished two strokes behind Penn at 292 while Saint Joseph's finished two behind Drexel with a round of 294. La Salle's top four scores came in at 302 and Villanova rounded out the five-team field at 310.

The City Six Tournament concluded Villanova's play for the fall. Future events will be released when the dates are scheduled and set.
