Villanova, Pa. – The Villanova baseball team had four players sign their National Letters of Intent to join the program as the class of 2024. The class consists of two pitchers, right-hander Devin Rivera and lefty Pat Montfort, and a pair of shortstops Anthony Schooley and Cam Hassert.

Devin Rivera | RHP | Valley Cottage, NY
Devin Rivera is a right-handed pitcher from Don Bosco Prep High School in New Jersey. Prep Baseball Report tabbed Rivera as the No. 13 RHP in New Jersey. The righty sits 87-89 mph with a good curveball, and went a combined 8-0 on the mound during his sophomore and junior years of high school. Rivera played travel ball for Team Beast and Team Citius.

Pat Montfort | LHP | Morristown, NJ
Pat Montfort was named the No. 1 left-handed pitcher in New Jersey by Prep Baseball Report, sitting 88-90 mph. He attended Morristown High School where he was named first team all-conference and helped lead his team to the 2018 County Championship. The 6'1" lefty was a multi-sport athlete in high school, having also played two years of basketball.

Anthony Schooley | SS | Marlton, NJ
Anthony Schooley was named the No. 4 shortstop in New Jersey and the No. 40 overall player in the state. Schooley has a good bat and can hit for average, displayed by his .545 average his sophomore year. The shortstop from Marlton, NJ was high school teammates with current Villanova pitcher
Jimmy Franchetti at Cherokee High School. Schooley's brother also plays collegiate baseball and is currently playing shortstop for Rowan. Schooley played travel ball for Mid Atlantic Show and served as captain four years in a row.

Cam Hassert | SS | Longmont, CO
Cam Hassert was rated the No. 2 shortstop in Colorado by Perfect Game. Hassert has been rock solid at the plate his whole career. Hitting lefthanded, Hassert hit over .400 in both his freshman and sophomore years, then hitting .384 with 24 RBIs, 7 2B and 3 HR in a shortened junior season at Silver Creek High School. Hassert was a multi-sport athlete that also plays basketball. Hassert played travel ball with Beast Mode Prime 17U and for the Colorado Rockies scout team.
