Golf Wraps Up in New Jersey

Ryan Pamer placed 10th at the Georgetown Intercollegiate; Jackson Lehner tied for fifth and Joshua Lavely tied for ninth at the Chestnut Hill Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Wildcats wrapped up the second and final day of the Georgetown Intercollegiate, placing 12th out of 12 teams at 66 over par (918). They shot 23 over (307) in the third and final round, improving on their round two finish of 28 over (312). Princeton University captured both the team and individual championships.

At the Chestnut Hill Invitational, the 'Cats had two top 10 finishers, and four of the five improved on their shot total from round one.

GEORGETOWN INTERCOLLEGIATE (PAR 71, 7,119 YARDS)
The Wildcats played a slightly modified version of the course at Echo Lake Country Club for round three, it was 169 yards longer than the two rounds prior.

Ryan Pamer achieved his third top 10 finish of the season, finishing tied for 10th. He tallied a total of two over (73) in the final round to end at seven over par (220). The round at 73 marked the lowest round of all ten Wildcats competing on Tuesday.

Matt Zerfass shot his lowest round of the tournament on day two at five over (76). He finished tied for 40th place at 17 over (230). He finished four under across all par five holes during the event.

Vibhav Alokam totaled seven over par (78) in round three. He finished with a score of 19 over par (232). Alokam tied for 44th place.

Peter Barros finished tied for 55th place at 24 over par (237). He shot 10 over par (81) in round three.

Ian Love shot nine over (80) in round three, marking his lowest round of the tournament. He finished in 59th place at 30 over par (243).

CHESTNUT HILL INVITATIONAL (PAR 72, 6,885 YARDS)
Jackson Lehner secured the highest finish of his Wildcat career, coming in fifth place. It is also his first top five finish at Villanova. Lehner shot a 78 (+6) in round two and finished 15 over par (159).

Joshua Lavely matched his highest career finish as he placed tied for ninth. He shot 82 (+10) on the day and finished with a shot total of 161 (+17).

Nathan Marion shot six over (78) in round two. He finished the tournament with a stroke average of 82 and a stroke total of 164. Marion ended tied for 14th place.

Gus Vickers moved up the leaderboard on the second day in Cape May Court House, helped by shooting seven over (79) in round two. He was able to knock 11 strokes off his day one total in round two. Vickers finished tied for 21st at 25 over par (169).

Vimal Alokam shot seven over (79) in his second time around Union League National, 13 shots under his day one total. He finished tied for 24th place at 27 over par (171).

UP NEXT: After a week off, the Wildcats will go back up north to Glen Cove, N.Y., to take part in the Nassau Intercollegiate hosted by Long Island University. They finished in third place as a team in this tournament last year, and Ryan Pamer finished tied for third among all individuals.
