The three All-Conference plaudits mark the most for the program since three Wildcats were honored in 2019. Since 1996, Villanova has now had 63 All-BIG EAST honorees. Soderman first-team laurel is the first for the program since 2019, giving Villanova 17 such honors since 1995. Dickinson brings Villanova to 21 second-team honors while McLeod is the sixth third-team selection. Since
Samar Azem took over the program in 2022, Villanova has had at least one representative on the All-BIG EAST ledgers, bringing the team to seven honorees in her tenure.
The trio helped Villanova to its best winning percentage in five years, winning at a .444 clip with a 5-7-6 record, 2-3-5 in conference play for a .450 winning percentage in the league and a seventh-place spot on the BIG EAST table. The All-Conference honorees accounted for 19 points with eight goals and three assists and seven shutouts on the season, the most for the program since 2019.
Soderman led Villanova in overall scoring this season, netting seven goals with three assists for 17 points to be the highest-scoring Wildcat for a single season in the Azem era of the program. The senior finished seventh in the BIG EAST in goals and points, averaging 0.94 points per game. She landed 18 of her 33 shot attempts on frame for a .545 shot on goal percentage. The Schwenksville, Pa. native had a pair of substantial scoring runs this season, accounting for at least a point in three consecutive games. The first such run came early in the nonconference slate, having an assist, a goal and another assist in wins over Temple, Penn and Jacksonville, respectively. Later in conference play, she scored four goals in three games, helping the team to a pair of draws with DePaul and St. John's before a 3-0 road win at Marquette. She was one of three Wildcats this season to score a brace in a game. Soderman picked up two weekly accolades this season, earning a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll and a Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week Honorable Mention.
Dickinson provided a stellar presence in net this season for the Wildcats, anchoring the backline with a conference-best 88 saves and 4.89 saves per game, consistently leading the league throughout her first season on the Main Line. Nationally, she was ranked 45
th in the nation by the end of the season for saves and was 70
th with six solo shutouts, a number that put her in a tie for third in the BIG EAST. She set a new single-game career high with 11 saves in the 2-2 draw with St. John's this season, a tally that was the most by a Nova goalkeeper in three seasons. The Seattle, Wash. native started in all 18 games for the Wildcats this season, going 5-7-6 with a .800 save percentage and a 1.23 goals against average. She was lauded with four weekly honors from the BIG EAST throughout the season including being named Goalkeeper of the Week on August 26, the first honor for a Blue and White netminder since 2022.
McLeod was also a steady part of the Villanova defensive unit this season, starting in all 17 of her appearances on the season. The defense tied for fourth in the league with seven clean sheets on the season, the most for Villanova since the 2019 squad had eight. The team's 89 saves and 4.94 saves average were both second in the conference, allowing 22 goals with a 1.22 goals against average. The East Meadow, N.Y. native had three shot attempts with two on frame. She netted the first goal of her career in a 3-0 win at Marquette, helping her to land the first Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week nod of her career, as well. She was on the pitch for 1456 minutes this season, playing the full 90 in 11 matches.
