Wildcats Head Into Philly To Take On The Hawks

VILLANOVA– Villanova will not have to travel far to take on their midweek opponent.  The team will take on Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, May 14th, with first pitch set for 2:00 pm.

Tuesday, May 14 | 2:00 p.m. EST
Villanova: TBD
Saint Joseph: TBD

Last Time Out: Villanova dropped two of three games to Butler over the weekend.  IN their last home series of the year, The Wildcats won game one against The Bulldogs, but lost the next two.  Game one was a low scoring affair (3-2) with game two going to extra innings. Butler pulled out the win in 11 innings, 10-9.  The finale was back and forth but Butler held on to win 9-6.

Game Two Of The Series: This matchup will be the second time these two programs face each other this season. The first matchup came less than a month ago on April 30 where The Hawks came into Villanova Ballpark and won 12-8. Saint Joseph's saw their lead in that game reach 10-2 before Villanova started a furious comeback getting it all the way to 10-8.

Finishing On The Road: After wrapping up their final home stand this weekend against Butler, Villanova is on the road for their last four games. The Wildcats are 11-22 on the road this season, losing their last four away from home. Thankfully for Villanova, history is on their side at Saint Joseph's. Villanova holds a 42-25-4 record on the road against The Hawks

Jack Back On Track: Grad senior, Jack O'Reilly is back on a hit streak after the past two weeks. He currently holds a four-game hit streak with three on Saturday and two on Sunday. Jack also adds a three-game RBI streak with five in the last three games.
