HAMPDEN, Mass. – Through one round of the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse Golf Course, the 'Cats rank tied for fourth out of 13 teams at five over. Villanova finished day one with 293 strokes as a team across 18 holes for a team stroke average of 74.6. They finished with two players within the top 20.
Ryan Pamer is tied for 12
th after one round. He finished the first round at even par of 72. Pamer finished one under par across four par five holes, tied for second among all participants. He shot par on 14 of 18 holes played on day one.
Matt Zerfass finished tied with Pamer in 12
th place after shooting a 72 in round one. He shot two under across the four par five holes. Zerfass led VU in birdies with four, which also tied for fourth among all participants.
Joshua Lavely finished tied for 23
rd at two over par. He birdied three holes and shot par on 11 holes.
Vibhav Alokam shot three over for a stroke total of 75 in round one. The freshman birdied two holes and finished even across par fives.
Jackson Lehner shot eight over for a round one total of 80.
Vimal Alokam shot 15 over par through round one as an individual.
