STORRS, Conn. — The Villanova Wildcats baseball will close out the 2026 regular season this weekend with a three-game BIG EAST road series against UConn Huskies baseball beginning Thursday, May 14, at 6:05 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Villanova enters the final series of the regular season after hosting St. John's in its final home series of the year. The Wildcats avoided a sweep by capturing the series finale after dropping the first two contests.

Jack Kelley delivered a season-high seven innings while allowing just one run. Kelley kept the Red Storm off the scoreboard through the first six innings before St. John's broke through with an RBI single in the seventh. A two-run homer in the ninth sealed a 3-0 win for the Red Storm and clinched the series.

VILLANOVA LEADERS
Senior
Collin Quintano has been one of Villanova's top offensive producers this season. Entering the final weekend, Quintano is batting .314 with nine home runs and 40 RBIs.
Sophomore
Brayden Leonard has also put together a strong season, batting .311 with 35 RBIs and two home runs. Leonard leads the Wildcats with 56 hits while ranking second on the team in both batting average and RBIs.
SERIES HISTORY
Villanova holds a 25-50 all-time record against UConn across 75 meetings, with six of those victories coming on the road.
The Huskies swept the Wildcats in last season's series matchup.
SCOUTING UCONN
UConn enters the final weekend of the regular season with a 30-23 overall record after falling to Northeastern, 10-6, in its most recent game. The Huskies sit near the top of the BIG EAST standings with a 13-5 conference mark.
Sophomore Jackson Marshall has been one of the conference's top offensive performers this season. Marshall leads UConn with a .382 batting average while also pacing the team with 14 home runs and 56 RBIs.
