Villanova Athletics is proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Villanova is proud to recognize these student leaders.

This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to the Wildcat's Rebecca Koch, a communications & German major and a women's swimming standout from Sugarland, Texas and Clements High School. On Friday, Oct. 25, Becky broke the Villanova Swim Center pool record in the 500 yard freestyle, swimming a time of 4:51.23. Her swim helped the `Cats roll to a 158-71 victory over the La Salle Explorers. Koch won two events, taking both the 500 freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle (1:51.69) in the meet.

Heading into the 2002-2003 season, Koch will look to continue her dominance in the freestyle events. Last season, she earned NCAA berths in the 200, 200 and 500 free.

We congratulate Becky on her achievements, and proudly support the Villanova P.A.W.S. program. For additional information regarding P.A.W.S., contact Villanova University at (610) 519-4605.
