Villanova Athletics is proud to present the Villanova P.A.W.S program: Providing Athletes With Support. The P.A.W.S. program helps to ensure the best quality experience for Villanova student-athletes, both in the classroom and on the playing fields. Wildcat student-athletes represent the best in athletic and academic achievements, and Villanova is proud to recognize these student leaders.
This week's P.A.W.S. honors go to the Wildcat's Laura Johnson, a biology major and a women's soccer standout from Charlotte, N.C., and Providence Senior High School. On Thursday, Nov. 7, at the annual Big East Award Banquet, Lauren was named to the All-Big East first team. She currently leads the Villanova team in goals (9), assists (9) and points (27). On Monday, Laura and the Wildcats received their second consecutive bid to the NCAA Tournament. Villanova was chosen to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The `Cats will play host to Yale in the NCAA First Round on Friday, Nov. 15, at 11:00 am. Should they win, Villanova will take on the winner of Nebraska/Hartford on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
We congratulate Laura on her achievements, and proudly support the Villanova P.A.W.S. program. For additional information regarding P.A.W.S., contact Villanova University at (610) 519-4605.
